It was surely a tough decision for Boston’s ONEin3 Council to narrow a field of twenty able-minded nominees to four finalists for its esteemed Impact Awards, but they did it. And make no mistake, each of the contenders are more than worthy of recognition for their community accomplishments.

On September 25, local startup accelerator extraordinaire MassChallenge will pack its 21 Drydock Avenue workspace with attendees and nominees to honor those who have harnessed the power of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) to improve their neighborhoods.

BostInno’s own Greg Gomer, of BostInno Beat fame, will be the event’s master of ceremonies and if that isn’t enough to entice you to attend, well, you don’t have a pulse.

There will also be beer, wine and food by Pastoral and 29 Newbury, and a number of great raffle prizes from Tablelist, Handybook, Lyft, and the Lyons Group of restaurants.

“The Impact Awards highlight the contributions of young professionals in Boston that are making a difference in their communities, particularly in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, which have a long tradition in the city,” said ONEin3 Council member Lee Glandorf.

ONEin3 member Marc Savatsky confirmed with BostInno that honorees will received a personalized certificate signed by Mayor Marty Walsh and that his chief of staff, Dan Koh, will also be saying a few remarks.

Each of the four finalists, as listed below, will show a video presentation of why their cause is most deserving of a generous donation to their organization (not to mention a trophy from the City of Boston), and only one will be selected as the ONEin3 Impact Award Winner.

Congratulations to the following finalists:

The event takes place at MassChallenge (21 Drydock Ave., 6th floor) on Thursday, September 25, from 7 p.m.to 10 p.m. You can snag your tickets right here. A small donation is encouraged.
