Already determined to head to Boston Calling in May of 2015? A special pre-sale release of tickets will be available for one day only, starting at noon on Friday.

These limited-supply tickets will be held at the lowest prices for the 2015 festival, which will maintain the three-night and two-day format, with general admission three-day passes on sale for $110, and VIP passes going for $250. The festival will run from May 22-24, Memorial Day Weekend in 2015, with the lineup yet to be announced.

In its past four turns, Boston Calling has brought a diverse set of headlining acts to City Hall Plaza, including Vampire Weekend, The National, Lorde, Nas, Jack Johnson and more. The lineups have been consistently crowd-pleasing for concert goers in the past, but coming up in 2015, there will be a new talent buyer curating the sound of the weekends.

Boston Calling organizers Crash Line Productions, we announced on Sunday, has parted ways with its booking agency, Bowery Boston. According to Crash Line Productions Co-Founder Brian Appel, this change came as a result of Crash Line’s desire to hire an in-house talent buyer.

“It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while, and we feel it’s important that we have someone full time dedicated to the booking process,” said Appel in a previous phone call to BostInno.

At the time we spoke to Appel, details about the in-house booker were still being finalized, while Bowery planned to support the festival in other facets. On September 17, Vanyaland reported that Crash Line had hired MusicFestNW‘s Trevor Solomon as Boston Calling’s new booking agent.

Solomon, as MusicFestNW’s executive director, was responsible for the festival’s booking for nine years. Since then, the festival, anchored in Portland, Oregon, has evolved into the largest music festival in the Pacific Northwest. The most recent MusicFestNW lineup hosted indie rock artists and DJs like Haim, Phantogram, Girl Talk and Spoon, not unlike the Boston Calling lineups we’ve seen in the past. (Girl Talk and Spoon, in fact, were both part of the September 2014 festival; due to weather conditions, Girl Talk’s set was canceled.)

The May 2015 Boston Calling festival is first up in the production’s forthcoming three-year run at City Hall Plaza. City Hall Press Secretary Kate Norton confirmed that Crash Line has secured two dates per year in Government Center through 2017.

In celebration of the pre-sale tickets, Boston Calling has put together a highlight reel from September’s festival. Here’s what went down.
