Taking a break during the workday is easier said than done. With deadlines to meet and pressure from higher-ups, it seems there’s never enough time in the day to eat lunch – much less take a full-fledged work break.

Enter Staples. This week, the well-known business supply store is sending their mobile breakroom to the streets of Boston as part of a nationwide “Refresh. Recharge. Refuel.” Breakroom Tour. According to a release, the tour is intended “to show how a well-stocked breakroom can increase employee productivity and happiness, as well as reduce stress.”

And if by “well-stocked breakroom,” they mean well-stocked with snacks, we’re in. The release notes that the mobile truck will include free snacks, coffee and other beverages as well as games, prizes, product samples and entertainment. There will also be a photo tent available.

A schedule for the Staples breakroom truck is below:

September 30: Staples Headquarters – 500 Staples Drive, Framingham, MA 01702

October 1: Government Center – 1 City Hall Ave, Boston, MA 02108

October 2: Hood Office Park – 500 Rutherford Ave, Charlestown, MA 02129

And trust us – you really need that work break. According to a recent survey of office workers and managers released by Staples, more than a quarter of workers in the Northeast don’t take a lunch break. Additionally, 63 percent of workers don’t feel like they can even get up from their desk to take a break. Yikes.

So, what are you still doing here? Those free snacks are awaitin’!
