The Wilbur is continuously bringing legendary comedians, musicians and more into its theater, and it wants to spread the wealth with Bostonians. For some, these concerts and shows may stay off your radar, but even if you do keep up with the theater’s calendar, you may not have the budget to spend on arts and culture in the city.

Today, the Wilbur wants to change that.

Starting at midnight on Tuesday and continuing until 11:59 p.m., select Wilbur tickets are on sale for $10. The affordable tickets will be available for shows happening the weekend of October 17 and 18, which is the Wilbur’s Open House Weekend. The $10 tickets can be purchased online; if you purchase tickets at the box office, however, there will be no service fee.

Wilbur owner Bill Blumenreich explained the ticket sale in a press release:

The idea is to get new people to experience the theatre. We have people moving into this city constantly that are unfamiliar with all the great comedy, music and performance that we do. Our goal is to get people excited to try the theatre. I mean, a $10 ticket to one of these shows would get me out of bed.

The shows taking place during the Open House Weekend, and eligible for the $10 tickets, are: David Alan Grier; Bob Nelson, Rain Pryor and Artie Fletcher, who make up the Joke’s on You Comedy Tour; and Joy Behar (pictured).

If the thought of a night at the theater that costs less than a night at the movies (you can wait to see Gone Girl, after all), sounds enticing, get your tickets before the day ends at midnight. For more about what’s going on in Boston’s cultural scene, check out local startup Trill.

Update: A previous version of this article stated that the Open House Weekend lasted through Sunday, October 19. It has been updated to reflect that it ends on October 18, and does not include Sunday’s Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox show.
