Brehon Garcia-Dale is Gilt City Boston’s head curator, and she’s responsible for making Gilt City the insiders-only experience that it is.

How would you describe your personal style?
It all depends on the day, my schedule and – most importantly – my mood. I’d say it’s a mix of classic and eclectic. Minimal with an edge for winter, Boho for summer. My friends always tell me that I’m a granola cruncher in stilettos.
Where do you love to shop?
As a little girl, my mom taught me that you don’t need a reason to go shopping and there is no excuse for paying retail. It isn’t a coincidence that I work for Gilt. You can’t beat the merchandise, the local experiences we offer on Gilt City, the prices and the thrill of being the one to get it before it’s gone!
What are your must-have staple items for a great wardrobe?
The perfect white tee. It can be worn with jeans, leather, or under a suit. I get most of mine from James Perse when we feature the line on Gilt. In my opinion, no one makes a better tee shirt than them. Also, leopard print shoes – flats or – they surprisingly match pretty much everything.
What up and coming trend pieces do you currently own or have your eye on?
This week I’m in the market for a black leather pleated skirt and fringed ankle boots. Next week there will be another apple of my eye! There is always something I feel my closet isn’t complete without.
