There’s a fall weekend coming up, folks. But not just any fall weekend – it’s a three-day weekend. Unless, of course, your company chooses not to partake in the faux-holiday that is Columbus Day. If so, sorry. But either way, it’s time to make the most of these days off: There are Oktoberfest celebrations, the HONK Parade, a dessert expo, free art events and more all happening this weekend in Boston.

Friday

Downeast Fall Party – October 10 & 11 – Downeast Cider – Downeast Cider is ringing in the fall season (it’s when apples reach their peak, after all), with two parties – one on Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., and one on Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m . Complete with live music, food, fun, and of course cider, head to Downeast for the perfect fall party. Tickets are $28, and canned good donations will be accepted.

‘Conversation Piece’ Opening – October 10 – MFA – The MFA’s newest exhibit opens this Friday, and it actually recommends that guests keep their phones in hand while browsing. The exhibit incorporate’s artist Miranda July’s new app, Somebody, into its format.

Saturday

Street Performer Fall Festival – October 11-13 – Faneuil Hall – Celebrate the long weekend with the city’s talented street performers. From wacky tricks to family-friendly bands, Faneuil Hall’s line up of artists will be out in full force, showcasing their talents, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday through Monday.

BOS Lady Project: Lean Line & Libations – 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Equinox Dartmouth Street – BOS Lady Project is hosting a fitness class for those supporting the cause. Try out Equinox’s Lean Line class with fellow Lady Project members on Saturday, followed by a cocktails and snacks after the workout. The class is $5 to attend, and guests have the option of making an additional donation to Project Hope.

Choctoberfest: Bantam Cider and Fiore di Nonno – 1 to 4 p.m. – Taza Chocolate – Every Saturday in October, Taza is hosting Choctoberfest, a celebration that combines fall treats with chocolate. This Saturday, join them for a party featuring Bantam Cider and Fiore di Nonno cheese, as well as Taza chocolate.

Dapper & Debonnaire Cocktail Hour with Men’s Style Tastemakers – 3 to 6 p.m. – Trade – As part of Boston Fashion Week, join men’s luxury lifestyle brand Maki & Mpho will host a cocktail hour with leading influencer’s in the men’s style sphere of Boston. Join designers, stylists, bloggers and more in the discussion over drinks. Tickets are $6.

Fashion’s Night Outlet – 6 to 9 p.m. – Assembly Row – Head to Assembly Row’s Somerville shopping center for a night of exclusive deals, discounts, jean fittings, gifts and more.

Sunday

New England Dessert Showcase – 12-5:30 p.m. – Westin Waterfront – Love desserts? Don’t miss the New England Dessert Showcase, which brings together gourmet pastry chefs, chocolatiers, ice cream makers and more for a delicious afternoon. Sessions run from 12 to 2:30 p.m. and 3 to 5:30 p.m.

Oktoberfest Beat Bavarian Beer Hall – 12 p.m. – Beat Hotel – Celebrate Oktoberfest with the Beat Hotel in Harvard Square. Think community tables, German music and beers, lederhosen and dirndls. German drinking songs will be performed by Opa’s Oompah Band.

Harvard Square’s 36th Annual Oktoberfest – 12 to 6 p.m. – Harvard Square – For more Oktoberfest fun, join in on the Harvard Square festivities taking place throughout the neighborhood. There will be food, music, street performers, drinks and more, and at 1 p.m. the annual HONK! parade will arrive in Harvard Square after marching from Davis. The parade features 27 “honk” bands from all over the world.

Feed the Zombies for Charity – 3 to 6 p.m. – Thelonious Monkfish – This live, interactive event at Thelonious Monkfish in Central Square invites guests to feed the zombies, which are chained up on the patio, zombie bits, and win raffle prizes. The $5 minimum donation will be donated to the Cambridge Jazz Festival’s Johnny Hodges Fund. The event is co-hosted by Feed Our Zombies.

Monday

13th Annual Opening Our Doors – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Fenway Cultural District – Head to Fenway for a day of free cultural experiences, presented by the Fenway Alliance. Events include an interactive community mural painting, a public art installation, glass blowing, spoken word poetry and live music. Food trucks and free samples will be gathered in the Christian Science Plaza.

Fall Open House – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – MFA – All day on Columbus Day, the Museum of Fine Arts will be free and open to the public. There will also be special events, hands on activities, and tours taking place throughout the day.

Craft Beer Revolution with Boston Beer, Cambridge, Harpoon, Pretty Things & Brooklyn – 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. – Harpoon Brewery – Brooklyn Brewery Co-founder Steve Hindy is heading to Boston to discuss the “craft beer revolution,” and how new breweries challenged the beer corporations, chronicled in his new book, “Craft Beer Revolution.” Boston’s craft beer brands will join in on the talk. Tickets are $15.
