Chances are good that if you’re reading this article, you may be past your trick-or-treating prime. But that doesn’t mean you still can’t partake in the Halloween tradition in some way or another. From costume parties to handing out candy yourself, we millennials are never truly “too old” for this ghoul-filled holiday.

And now there’s one more reason to throw on that costume hiding in your closet. Because according to Zillow, Boston happens to be one of the best cities for trick-or-treating. In fact, were the seventh best (if you must know).

Today, the online real estate database released their annual Trick-or-Treat Index, which ranks the 20 best cities to trick-or-treat in the country. These Trick-or-Treat rating represents which cities provide the most candy, in the least amount of time, with the fewest safety risks. The ranking was calculated using four equally weighted data variables: Zillow Home Value Index, population density, Walk Score and local crime data.

And while seventh best trick-or-treating city in the country may sound pretty good, we must note that last year Boston ranked second in the trick-or-treat category. This means that our city is actually down five spots from last year’s list.

But at least we’re in pretty good company. According to the data, San Francisco is the trick-or-treating leader followed by Los Angeles (#2) and Chicago (#3). To see the entire trick-or-treat rankings, check here.

As far as the best places within Boston to trick-or-treat, Zillow has you covered there too. The database claims that Beacon Hill is the best neighborhood to trick-or-treat in the Hub – followed by Back Bay (#2), North End (#3), South End (#4), and Fenway (#5).

Now that you know where to score the best treats in Boston, the only thing you’ll have to worry about is where to find the perfect costume.
