If you’re planning to hit up the 50th Annual Head of the Charles event at some point today, it’s best to plan ahead. From transportation to the best viewing spots, you’ll need to know how to navigate the trampling crowds. But as far as brunch is concerned, we’ve got you covered on that front. If you’re looking for a nearby breakfast spot, located just a hop, skip and a jump away from all of the rowing action, we recommend heading to the Beacon Hill Bistro this morning. Here are the brunch buzz deets:

When

Beacon Hill Bistro serves up a brunch every Sat. and Sun. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where

The Beacon Hill Bistro is located at 25 Charles St. in Beacon Hill – also a short walk away from the Charles River and the Head of the Charles action.

What

Beacon Hill Bistro’s brunch menu is broken into five parts: Beginnings, Egg Dishes, Pancakes & French Toast, Meats & Seafoods, and Sides. We recommend trying their seasonal french toast with cider braised apples and spiced creme fraiche (yum!). Or their roasted pepper frittata with onions, potatoes and cheddar cheese. The Brunch Buzz Drink

Besides the usual mimosas and bloody marys, Beacon Hill Bistro is offering up a special Head of the Charles themed cocktail through the rest of the month. The Beaten Englishman drink is made with Beefeater Gin, Campari, King Ginger, Cointreau and a splash of lime juice. It may be a bit strong for the morning but who’s really judging? Plus, it’ll certainly help alleviate any crowd-anxiety you may have at this weekend’s event!
