This Monday morning isn’t going easy on us: last night, temperatures fell to their lowest since April, and that’s not a very fun fun fact to wake up to. But now that your day is in motion, let’s look ahead and see what’s on deck for this week in Boston.

Monday

Off the Grid Mondays – 12 to 3 p.m. – Salvatore’s – Put down the cell phone, diners, and you’ll get a buy one, get one lunch deal at any Salvatore’s location. If you turn over your phone before you sit down, you’ll receive a free entree with the purchase of another entree every Monday from noon to 3 p.m. Those dining alone will receive 50 percent off their meal.

Wines of Portugal Annual Grand Tasting – 6 to 8 p.m. – Boston Harbor Hotel – Discover some of the great wines Portugal has to offer at their annual tasting event that offers more than 200 different wines. Light appetizers will be served. Tickets are $85.

Tuesday

The Grind Launch Party – 6 to 8 p.m. – House of Blues Foundation Room – The Grind is a new concept coffee shop working to open near BU’s campus, with 100 percent of its proceeds donated to charitable organizations. At the launch party, they’ll be unveiling their online fundraising campaign and teaching people about the new shop.

Sweets for the Sweet with the Boston Area Beer Enthusiasts Society – 6 to 9 p.m. – Night Shift Brewing –  Four different Night Shift Brewing beers will be paired with desserts from Boston Bonbons for a sweet tasting session. The evening will begin with a tour of the brewery. Tickets are $20.

Wednesday

Bully Boy Hub Punch Launch Party – 6 to 9 p.m. – The Hawthorne – Bully Boy Distillers will unveil their newest spirit, the Hub Punch, at The Hawthorne this Wednesday. The Hub Punch, a rum infusion inspired by a Boston-based spirit from the 1800s, will be served in creative cocktails crafted by The Hawthorne. Tickets are $30 and guests will receive two drinks with their tickets.

Diwali: The Festival of Lights – 6 to 9:45 p.m. – MFA –  Learn more about Diwali and how the Festival of Lights is celebrated in countries around the world during an evening with the MFA. There will be a presentation, a spotlight talk and a dance performance. Free to attend.

Official Beer Launch Party: Ommegang’s Game of Thrones Belgian – 7 to 10 p.m. – East End Grille – Join Pintley and Ommegang at East End Grille in Somerville to celebrate the launch of Ommegang’s new Game of Thrones brew: the Valar Morghulis Belgian Dubbel, an eight percent ABV beer with hints of caramel and toffee.

Harpoon X-Night – 7:3o to 9:30 p.m. – Harpoon Brewery and Beer Hall – The team at Harpoon will be unleashing one of their experimental and unreleased pilot batch beers from the barrel this Wednesday night for their fans. The beer will be a never before tasted brew, and the regular beer lineup and pretzels will be available during the day as well.

Dare to Be Square: A Camberville BARn Dance – 7:30 to 11 p.m. – Aeronaut Brewing – Head to Aeronaut Brewing for a night of square dancing lessons, live music, beer and food truck fare. This will be a recurring dance series.

Thursday

Simon’s Send-Off Run – 6:45 to 8 a.m. – RunKeeper – Legally blind marathoner Simon is running the New York Marathon, and he’s running the entire way from Boston to New York to get there. Send him off on the first leg of his run, leaving from the RunKeeper offices at 7 a.m. and leaving him at the Boston Marathon finish line, where he’ll run the marathon backwards to his first rest stop.

Shake Yo’ Moneymaker 90s Danceathon – 4 to 10 p.m. – The Estate – Join TUGG for Boston’s first danceathon to support startups. The 90s themed dance party will raise money to support BUILD Boston, Dream Big and Catie’s Closet, three local nonprofits. Dress up in your best 90s attired (or borrow from The Fashion Project, who will be on hand), dance to raise money, and enjoy free drinks and food. Tickets are $25.

Ellis Boston Antiques Show – October 23-26 – Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama – This antiques show brings together 40 exhibitors with US and European antiques like jewelry, fine art, silver and more. There will be special exhibits and speakers over the weekend as well.
