If you managed not to float or blow away over the past three days in Boston, congratulations! You’ve just about made it to the weekend. And (according to my weather app), things are expected to dry up by Saturday. Finally.

So, what’s worth leaving the house for this weekend? From a worldwide wine tasting to a whiskey expo, to Halloween events galore, you’ll have your fair share of partying to do before Monday. Let’s get to it.

Friday

Wine Riot Boston – October 24 & 25 – Park Plaza Castle – Sample wines from all over the world at Wine Riot, a party-like wine tasting that’s fun, not stuffy. There will be a DJ, Instagram stations, Bubbly Bars and more. Tickets are available for $60 a session.

Boston Book Festival – October 24-26 – Copley Plaza – Celebrate the power of words with 150+ speakers, a street fair, seminars and more for this year’s Boston Book Festival. Happening now, all daytime events are free.

Punkin’ Fest – 4 to 10 p.m. – Lawn on D – Community carved pumpkins will be contributed to Lawn on D’s “colossal illuminated Punkin’ Sculpture,” which will glow from the lawn for the rest of the Halloween season. The pumpkins will be lit high-tech interactive lighting, and more festivities and live music will take place during the evening.

Whisky Live – 5:30 to 10 p.m. – The State Room – Sip single malt scotches, bourbons and more craft spirits at the third Whisky Live in Boston, which features over 200 different types of whiskeys. Tickets are $129 and include tastings, a buffet dinner and a show program.

3rd Annual Boobie Bash – 6 to 10 p.m. – Bell in Hand – Presented by the Miss Pink Organization, this costume party raises money for local breast cancer survivors and their families. There will be drinks, dancing, food and more. Tickets are $20.

Bantam’s BIG Cheese and Charcuterie Party – 7 to 10 p.m. – Bantam Cider Taproom – Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cider Days, New England’s cider festival, with Bantam. There will be cheese, charcuterie, and of course, cider. Tickets are $35.

Saturday

Zoo Howl – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Franklin Park Zoo – Bring the little ones and trick-or-treat amongst the animals this weekend with the Franklin Park Zoo’s Zoo Howl, on Saturday and Sunday. There will be haunted trails, treats from Pretzel Crisps, Plum Organics, Honest Tea and more. Pumpkins will be provided by Whole Foods.

Boston Vegetarian Food Festival – October 25 & 26 – Reggie Lewis Athletic Center – Natural food providers, national speakers and top chefs will be featured at this festival focusing on vegetarian options. Free food sampling and educational information come with the free festival.

Celebrate the Fruits of Our Ocean – 11 a.m to 2 p.m. – Roxbury YMCA – Join Boston Collaborative Food for Fitness and the YMCA for a food event featuring a chef seafood throwdown, tastings and more activities for the family.

Howl-o-Ween Costume Party – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Seaport Hotel – Bring your dressed up pup for a Halloween party that will combine both adult and canine treats, and award prizes to the best costumes. Free to attend.

Egleston Square Fall Fiesta – 12 to 4 p.m. – Egleston Square, Jamaica Plain – Celebrate the community at this fall fiesta with the grand opening of the Boylston Public Art Gallery, a Harvest Fest, youth performances, food and drink and more.

7th Annual Great Pumpkin Festival – 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. – Cambridge Brewing Company – Pumpkin beers from across the US and beyond can be found at the Great Pumpkin Festival, where you’ll score a limited edition pint glass. Food and beer tickets can be purchase inside, and costumes are highly encouraged.

Halloween Pet Parade – 12 p.m. – Faneuil Hall – Get your pet in a costume and come down to Faneuil Hall for a Halloween Parade hosted by Magic 106.7’s Chris Shine. There will be multiple prizes awarded throughout the afternoon.

Halloween Pub Crawl – 12:30 to 8 p.m. – The Bell in Hand Tavern – Partake in this Halloween costume crawl that begins at the Bell in Hand and goes through Faneuil Hall. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative costumes.

Sunday

14th Annual Halloween Horror Marathon – 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Coolidge Corner Theater – Get your Halloween horror fix with a 12-hour marathon at Coolidge Corner Theater, starting at midnight on Saturday and continuing until noon on Sunday.

Market of the Living Dead and Carnival of Curiosities – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – SoWa Open Market – For the last SoWa Open Market of the season, they’re going out with a Halloween-inspired bang. There will be a costume contest with the theme “carnival of curiosities,” so dress appropriately.

Studio Sundays: Dave Becker – 4 p.m. – Tavern Road – Dave Becker will bring his art-to-table movement to Tavern Road on Sunday as part of the restaurant’s ongoing artist series.
