On Monday night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue magazine finally announced their latest Fashion Fund winner (drumroll please): Paul Andrew. The British-born shoe and accessories designer has worked at major labels, including Donna Karan and Alexander McQueen, and notably outfitted Lupita Nyong’o with red pumps at this year’s Golden Globes.

Impressed yet? This big honor puts him in the same league as past winners Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra, and Proenza Schouler. Along with bragging rights, Andrew took home $300,000 and a yearlong mentorship with a fashion power player of his choice. His pick? Nike CEO Mark Parker. Andrew told Style.com, “The core of my business is great design with added comfort, and that is very much what Nike is about, too. I would love to be able to pick his brain and, ultimately, collaborate with him.”

With the prize money, Andrew plans to design the most-comfortable shoes on the market. Heels that look good and feel good? Sign me up ASAP.
