Remember getting immersed in Candy Land as a kid? Through the Candy Cane Forest and Gum Drop Mountain, meeting Gramma Nut, Gloppy the Molasses Monster and Queen Frostine along the way, and just trying to get your way to King Candy and his castle made of sweets.

Now that I’ve jogged your Candy Land memory, it’s time to get on with the important stuff. A giant Candy Land tournament for adults and kids is coming to Faneuil Hall on November 22. The 10th annual tournament annually benefits Pitching in For Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to providing earmarked grants that are designed to improve the lives of children in New England. A donation of $20 is suggested for all Candy Land tournament players, and all kids will receive a Hasbro game of their choice.

The live game will include a Candy Land path and prizes along the way, likely in the form of candy, as families and players compete to the finish. Food from Boston restaurants, live entertainment from local musicians, arts and crafts for the kids, and more fun will also line the path.

The Candy Land tournament will lead into the festivities of the Blink! premiere and the Faneuil Hall Christmas tree lighting. Live music will begin at 2 p.m., and the tree lighting will take place from 8 to 9 p.m., and will be streamed live on WBZ-TV.
