‘Tis the season to watch Elf on endless repeat in your living room. But what if we could relive the magic of seeing it — or another favorite holiday movie — in the theater? (Fun fact: It’s been 11 years since Elf came out.)

This December, you can, at the new AMC Assembly Row. To celebrate the holidays, the theater will play three seasonal classics on their big screen, for free (a word that can truly spread holiday cheer). And if you’re wondering how they plan to choose the best three movies from a list of classics, the answer is they’re not. You are!

The Assembly Row team has launched a poll, asking for their social media followers (and anyone who wants to see a free movie) to vote for their three favorite movies from a list of five possibilities. The three with the most votes will be screened for free on December 6, 13 and 20. The choices are: Polar Express, Home Alone, Elf, A Christmas Story and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

So start revisiting your top picks, and think carefully about which ones are worth revisiting on the big screen. Let’s just go ahead and say that if you vote for Jim Carrey’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, you don’t deserve to participate in this poll. (But that’s just my opinion, of course.)

In order to have your voice heard, you must vote three separate times, and enter your email address. After submitting one of my choices (Home Alone, duh), I can see that Elf is the clear frontrunner, followed by Home Alone, then Polar Express, then A Christmas Story, and lastly, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. But it’s anyone’s race, people.

There’s just one slight catch: The movies will be screened at 9:30 a.m. on three Saturdays in December. So if you want to get in on the action, you’ll have to get there early. Seats will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
