A disabled Orange Line train caused severe delays Monday morning, leaving would-be riders stranded on packed, over-crowded platforms. Those “lucky” enough to board a train have been forced to get uncomfortably close to their fellow riders – probably strangers.

The MBTA reported severe delays due to a disabled train at 8:17 a.m. on its website. The T has since updated its status, reporting that hold ups are now minor. Affected station stops are as follows: Assembly; Community College; Malden Center; North Station; Oak Grove; Sullivan Square; and Wellington.

Delays were upgraded from severe to minor at 8:53 a.m. People still aren’t too pleased.

And by the way: it’s raining.
