We hope you’re off to a wonderful holiday season – but if not, no worries. There are five exciting restaurant openings happening this month that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Or at the very least, give you something to look forward to besides gift shopping and bottle swapping this December.

BISq

Get excited because the long-awaited BISq restaurant is on the verge of opening. The team behind Somerville’s Bergamot restaurant are bringing this new restaurant concept to Inman Square. Diners can expect plenty of small plates and charcuterie. According to a release, the restaurant is planning to host a wine dinner this Sunday, December 7. The release notes “As long as BISq is open, the event will be there, but if permits hold us up, it will be at Bergamot.” We’ll just have to wait and see.

Bon Me

According to the tweet below, Bon Me plans to open its second brick-and-mortar in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood sometime this month.

For the time being, you can catch the Vietnamese food truck out-and-about in the city and check out their current Cambridge restaurant location. The restaurant will be located at 313 Congress St. across from the Boston Children’s Museum.

Hops N Scotch

Cambridge will soon get a taste of Brookline hot spot, Hops N Scotch. The bar and restaurant is opening a second location in Inman Square. According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, this new location is “just weeks away from opening.” The bar’s flagship location in Coolidge Corner is known for its extensive beer and whiskey selection.

Kane’s Donuts

Will they or won’t they open this year? That is the question. Earlier this fall, Eater Boston reported that Saugus-based Kane’s Donuts was aiming to open their Financial District location sometime mid-November. But since the opening hasn’t happened yet, we can only hope the shop will open sometime before the year ends. The shop’s location will be at One International Place in the Financial District.

Night Market

This much-anticipated Asian restaurant should be opening sometime this week in Cambridge’s Harvard Square, according to the Boston Globe. Night Market will be opening in the now shuttered Tamarind Bay space at 75 Winthrop St. The Boston Globe notes that the restaurant will serve “Asian fusion dinners like Sichuan spicy chicken wings, Vietnamese shaking beef salad, and Filipino lumpia with cashew pesto dipping sauce.”
