There’s certainly no shortage of food blogging. From Boston all the way to Australia there are millions of restaurant and food-related bloggers eating their way through the world’s best restaurants. But most of them seem to have one thing in common: they’re all obsessed with Cambridge’s Alden & Harlow restaurant. That’s according to Mashable’s latest article (per Urbanspoon) on the top blogged about restaurants in the world.

Chef-Owner Michael Scelfo’s Alden & Harlow, which opened just this year, has already gained quite a bit of attention and was also named a “Best New Restaurant” by Bon Appetit Magazine. Now, thanks to bloggers everywhere, the newly opened restaurant has joined the Instagram ranks of the ramen-centric restaurant Totto Ramen in NYC (which also opened in Boston this year), Eataly in Chicago, and other trendy spots throughout North America and Australia.

Not surprisingly, when we searched for food blog posts mentioning Alden & Harlow, there were quite a few results. This excerpt taken from Food for Thought: A Miami Food Blog (below) pretty much says it all:

“When was the last time you ate something so good you immediately ordered it again? Not ‘immediately’ as in the next time you went to the restaurant; ‘immediately’ as in ‘while you’re still finishing the first order’? That’s what we did with Alden & Harlow’s seared eggplant with green sauce, sheep’s milk cheese, crispy fregola and basil leaves. The eggplant is smoky and almost meaty in texture, the sauce is herbaceous and bright, there’s a creamy, briny tang from the cheese, and crunchy contrast from the fried pasta balls. It was one of the best things I’ve eaten all year.”

Thankfully, we hopped on the Alden & Harlow bandwagon a while ago. And trust us – that “Secret Burger” does indeed make for a sweet Instagram.
