Alden & Harlow
Welcome in the new year with Alden & Harlow’s new scrumptious late night menu, served every evening from 11 p.m. to close. Chef-Owner Michael Scelfo’s new menu includes unique dishes like smoked pork belly popcorn, stinky grilled cheese, roasted cauliflower pierogie, popcorn snails and more. If you go, Alden & Harlow is located 40 Brattle Street in Cambridge.
Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill
This weekend, head to Assembly Row’s newest addition, Tony C’s. The baseball-themed venue is named after Red Sox legend and Massachusetts native, Tony Conigliaro, and features 90 state-of-the-art TVs. The sports bar also offers a made-from-scratch menu with plenty of tasty fare. If you go, Tony C’s is located at 699 Assembly Row in Somerville.
Zinneken’s Food Truck
Boston Restaurant Talk reports that the bakery and cafe, Zinneken’s, will launch their Belgian Waffle food truck tomorrow, January 3. According to the food truck’s Twitter account, the soft opening will take place on Belvedere Street from 11 to 2:30 p.m. and on Clarendon Street (Copley) from 3 to 9 p.m.
Modern Underground
It’s probably been a while since you ventured over to the North End’s beloved Modern Pastry. But we suggest making a trip this weekend. That’s because the cannoli shop now offers an underground bar dubbed Modern Underground. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, the newly opened bar offers beer, burgers and more. If you go, Modern Underground is located 263 Hanover Street in Boston.
Barcelona Wine Bar
This past December, Barcelona Wine Bar opened its second Boston-area location in the South End’s former Sibling Rivalry space. The popular tapas chain also has a Brookline eatery in Washington Square. But if you decide to check out the South End’s location (and get your fill of Jamon and Patatas Bravas), the new Barcelona Wine Bar is situated at 525 Tremont Street.
