Thursday morning in Boston, Massachusetts: The worst thing to ever happen.

Those foolish enough to step outside are getting smacked right in the face with arctic blasts of cold air, which are currently hovering around the 0 to -2 degree range. That actually, believe it or not, sounds bearable enough, until wind gusts upwards of 35-45 mph are taken in to consideration. Cold snap? You bet.

Wind chill factors will drive realfeel temperatures down, well below 0 degrees, across the entire state. In Boston, wind chill temperatures could reach as low as -24 degrees. The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory in effect for Suffolk County until 11 a.m. Here’s what the MBTA is doing to keep Commuter Rail trains from turning into Snowpiercer.

The good news: Thursday will treat us to bright blue skies and funky fresh, steamin’ Willie Beamin sunshine. Wear your sunblock – and hat, gloves, scarf, face vaseline, onesies and knee-high socks. Multiple layers.

And forget that NWS Boston gets a kick out of this miserable, miserable weather.
