Don’t worry, folks! Your out-of-town parent’s favorite brunch spot, Stephanie’s on Newbury, is only closing temporarily. The beloved restaurant, located at 190 Newbury Street, announced this week that renovations are underway for the eatery’s interior space.

Owner, Stephanie Sokolove, announced in a newsletter sent today, January 8:

“We’ll debut our new look in this exact location in the early spring. Our fresh, new appearance will be a stunning backdrop for our classic comfort food favorites like our award-winning Mac-and-Cheese, Roasted Half Chicken and famous Meatloaf. We’ve been in this landmark Back Bay location for more than two decades and we look forward to being here for another twenty more. This is our home and we’re not going anywhere!”

In the meantime, Stephanie’s other Boston locations will remain open for lunch, brunch and dinner. Stephi’s on Tremont is located at 571 Tremont Street; Stephi’s in Southie is located at 130 Dorchester Avenue.
