Applications are open for Boston’s young professionals to join the ONEin3 Council. The organization comprised of 20 to 34-year olds catalyzes discussions around community development arts and culture and entrepreneurship, and recognizes the leaders who spearhead action.

Back in July, the Council helped facilitate a public art installment in Copley Square that saw Bostonians finish the sentence  “We are Boston. Boston is____” on IdeaPaint surface for an accompanying time lapse video.

In August, they threw a house party centered around housing policy to give young, first time and prospective homeowners and renters a forum for discussion and advice sharing.

And already, they’re piquing a lot of interest.

“We have received almost 60 applications in less than 24 hours,” Chloe Ryan, ONEin3 Manager told me shortly after they began entertaining candidates. “The Council It’s a great opportunity for young professionals in Boston to connect with the city, as well as network and meet other young adults.  It’s a really unique experience as it brings people out of their comfort zone.”

The next ONEin3 class will feature 16 women and 15 men from a variety of Boston neighborhoods, working jobs that run the spectrum for just 31 slots. Last year, the program received more than 300 applications.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to play a role in shaping the future of Boston and have a positive impact on your neighborhood,” wrote member Marc Savatsky.
