Here’s one Instagrammer who would make Michael “Squints” Palledorous (from the Sandlot) very proud.

That would be Dylan Polin, who recently pulled off a platform-to-platform jump, clearing a set of Red Line tracks at Park Street in the most epic of ways: by adding a mid-air flip. “Been dreaming of this for years,” he writes in the caption of his video. “Finally gapped the red line train tracks. Huge way to end 2014… Much love for 2015 #parkour #freerunning #boston #redline # mbta.”

The video was posted four days ago, and has since received more than 140 “likes” and 18 comments, as of this post.

Polin’s video hit Reddit Boston Monday morning, prompting debates between Redditors, one of whom calls the jump “incredibly stupid and dangerous,” adding: “I hope transit police see this and track you [Polin] down.”

“I did that [jump] in high school (no flip) to impress the ladies,” another Redditor comments. “They mostly thought I was crazy. The flip on the other hand, is actually really impressive.”

With the next Alewife train still three minutes away at the time, Polin’s mid-air artistry was a little less death-defying than, say, surfing an Orange Line train

Polin describes himself as a “Professional floor-is-lava competitor” on Instagram profile. He’s posted 690 videos and has more than 3,000 followers, as of this writing.
