On Monday, a 23-year old Norwood man named Dylan Polin thought it’d be a good idea to post an Instagram video where he did a flip over an entire MBTA subway track. That’s right, he took off from one platform and cleared the entire track. The video footage, as seen below, is pretty impressive. The results, not quite as favorable.

According to spokesperson Joe Pesaturo, the MBTA will ask a court clerk to hold a hearing on a request to issue a complaint of trespassing.

“Unauthorized personnel are prohibited from being within the subway tracks right-of-way,” Pesaturo told BostInno.

According to Massachusetts General Law, trespassing “upon land or premises belonging to the commonwealth” carries the weight of “a fine of not more than fifty dollars or by imprisonment for not more than three months.”

“Been dreaming of this for years,” he wrote in the caption of his video. “Finally gapped the red line train tracks. Huge way to end 2014… Much love for 2015 #parkour #freerunning #boston #redline # mbta.”

Perhaps flipping over the Red Line was a good way to end 2014, but perhaps not the best way to kick off 2015.
