Wicked Good Cupcakes, a locally founded bakery that got some national TV time when the founders appeared on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” can tell us all a thing or two about scaling a successful business. And tomorrow night, Danielle Vilagie and Tracy and Scott Noonan –  the mother-daughter/husband-wife team of founders – are hosting a Q&A for small businesses to come and discuss growing companies at The Green Briar.

The bakery, which now has a prime retail location in Faneuil Hall’s Quincy Market, started out of a kitchen in Cohassett, making cupcakes in jars. After appearing on “Shark Tank” in 2013, the small company earned “Mr. Wonderful,” Boston local Kevin O’Leary, as an investor, gaining $75,000 on the terms that O’Leary would get $1 of every cupcake (retailed at $7.05-7.45) until he earned his money back. After that, which was achieved in 74 days, his cut was lowered to 45 cents.

The company does most of its business online, as their jarred treats are easy to ship, on top of their brick and mortar in Faneuil Hall. They’ve also expanded beyond their namesake treat, cupcakes, to include cheesecakes in jars, brownies in jars, and the newest: pies in jars.

Wicked Good Cupcakes was slated to earn $3 million in revenue in 2014, making theirs one successful local story. Thinking of starting a small business, or already own one? Bring your questions for the team. The doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the Q&A session starts at 6 p.m.

The event is hosted in part by Brighton Main Streets.
