Boston is expected to receive another 24 inches of snow on top of the more than 40 we’ve received in recent weeks. The heaviest snowfall will last into Monday night but already some communities have recorded more than half the snow totals initially forecasted.

The National Weather Service and SKYWARN are reporting that some cities and towns, including Boston, are already recording inches in the double digitals, which is simply jaw dropping when the amount of snow we’ve already been subjected to coupled with what we’re still facing in the hours ahead are considered.

Gov. Charlie Baker made stark comparison, noting that MassDOT crews have already cleared enough snow to fill Gillette Stadium, home of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, 90 times. That’s right, 90.
