It’s hard for the Boston Yeti to meander around the Hub turned winter wonderland discreetly. It is, after all, a man dressed up as the abominable snowman and one of the very few individuals to brave the snowy weather. But he’s not just walking around hoping to get sited and set social media ablaze. He’s doing good deeds. And they’re not going unnoticed.

On Monday morning the Boston Yeti was spotted in East Boston where he also proceeded to shovel out East residents’ cars in generous fashion.

When Boston Mayor Marty Walsh urged Bostonians to help out by shoveling out neighbors, vehicles and the elderly, I hardly expect he thought it would be someone dressed up as a bipedal humanoid leading the charge. BostInno reached out to City Hall to see if the Yeti happened to appear on the mayor’s radar. We’ll be sure to update this article upon receiving a response.

The Yeti’s good deeds caught the eye of the historic Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, which wants to reward the snow-faring man creature for his acts of kindness during the ongoing inclement weather.

The theatre is offering the Yeti a free movie pass and some satisfying popcorn on the house if he’s able to make his way to Cambridge.

“Boston Yeti is invited to come and watch a movie with us because he? it? has been working so hard to keep Boston’s spirits up during this latest installment of Snowpocalypse 2015, and we think he deserves a break and a chance to thaw his big, furry feet,” Brattle Theatre marking manager Brandon Constant told Bostinno. “We’ll be here popping popcorn and doing other movie stuff all day.”

The Yeti, who was kind enough to engage on social media with BostInno briefly, has not returned our request for comment on whether or not he’ll take the Brattle up on its offer.

The Brattle only has one screen and is currently showing Actress, an exploratory film about a woman who endeavors to become an actress again after a hiatus raising a family, and the relationships it builds, strains and destroys.

It’s screening at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday evening, so the Yeti has plenty of time to make it across the Charles or the Mystic, depending on where he may be wandering about.
