If you’re heading over to the United Kingdom anytime soon, I’m not encouraging you to eat from an American fast food chain. But if you happen to pop into a Kentucky Fried Chicken across the pond, you may find some peculiar food items.

Like your coffee cup.

According to The Telegraph, KFC’s latest creation is “the ‘Scoff-ee Cup'” which happens to be “made from biscuit, wrapped in sugar paper and then lined with a layer of heat-resistant white chocolate to keep the coffee hot and the cup crispy.”

Now KFC patrons can enjoy a biscuit at the same time at the same time as their cup of KFC’s Seattle Best Coffee – which the chain eatery is in the process of rolling out across its UK branches.

And if that wasn’t ecstatic news enough, the biscuits reportedly contain “mood improving aromas” such as ” ‘coconut sun cream’, ‘freshly cut grass’ and ‘wild flowers.'”

Why anyone would want the smell of sun cream while enjoying a hot cup of coffee in lieu of, oh, I don’t know, the smell of a freshly roasted coffee is beyond me.

“The ‘Scoff-ee Cups’ are still in their development phase with plans to trial them at a limited number of stores later in the year,” added The Telegraph.

There are four KFC’s in the City of Boston – one in Allston, Roslindale, and two in Dorchester.
