An on-the-go young professional’s dream abode: cozy, charming, and innovative. The Tiny House experience offers a sweeping 200 square feet of luxury living and all the modernity Bostonians have come to expect from a mobile unit. Sitting atop an 11-by-22-foot trailer, Tiny House is a unique residential space, equipped with updated appliances, a bed, a shower, and something called an incinerating toilet.

If you’re not sold, well, that doesn’t matter. Tiny House is 100 percent occupied. But its owner is looking for a new place to move.

Chris Page, the 33-year-old Andover man who owns the unit, explains on Craigslist:

I’m looking for a friendly location in the Greater Boston area to park and live in my custom-built tiny house. I built the house out of a desire for simplicity of environment and increased freedom.

His desired locations: Somerville, Cambridge, Boston, Arlington, Belmont, Malden, Medford, Jamaica Plain, Brookline, Brighton.

Like many others, Page’s search has exposed him to the harsh realities of the Boston-area housing shortage.

“I visited with some people in the city and they have a big enough backyard, but the driveway is too narrow,” Page told WBZ NewsRadio. “So there’s no way to actually get the house into the backyard.”

Page is set to attend graduate school later this year, so the sooner he’s able to find “an extra, unused patch of land” that someone is willing to part with, the better.

“I’m a quiet and respectful neighbor,” Page says. He’s also “happy to pay rent for land/utilities.”

Note to future landlord: “The house requires a hook-up to electrical and water.”
