Uber drivers often make the news because they pull some illegal stunt – assaults, kidnappings, etc. But this morning, instead of bogging you down with negativity, we’re going to share a video that depicts a more uplifting ride-share driver story. This driver is an opera singer.

As you can see in the clip above, shot by Jeff Sullivan according to Youtube, this particular driver has some serious pipes.

“Was on my way to The Playwright to get paid to party with Urposse.com and well” wrote Sullivan in the description. “Who needs a radio when you have an awesome uber driver!”

You can hear Sullivan mutter “wow” at the 42-second mark then, about 18-second later say, “wow that’s brilliant, thank you very much. That Pavarotti?”

Then driver responds affirmatively, “This is Pavarotti.”

The description notes Sullivan is en route to The Playwright, which is a bar in South Boston. Further, the mention of Urposse led us to its Facebook page which also lists several local establishments its users can redeem rewards.

Sullivan would go on to confirmed with BostInno that “I shot the video right on Day Blvd in Southie.”

So next time your contemplating hailing a car service, just remember that they’re not all shady types. Some are talented, cultured and ready to entertain you when you least expect it.
