Last week Facebook announced that it was launching Facebook Home, a platform for Android that would essentially turn your smartphone Facebook-themed. It is now available for download on Google Play, but only in the U.S. and for select devices.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung Galaxy S III or HTC One, One X or One X+, you can now have Facebook take over your phone; when you download Facebook Home, your phone’s home screen will turn into your Facebook feed so you can access everything without launching a separate app.

Coinciding with the launch, AT&T is now selling the HTC First, which comes with Facebook Home already on it. The phone goes for $99.99 with a two-year contract.

Here’s how to download Facebook Home:

1. Go on the Google Play page and download the app following the links.

2. Press the ‘Home’ button on your phone and tap ‘Facebook Home’ when prompted to choose which home screen app you wish to use. You can then select whether you want Facebook Home to launch ‘Always’ or ‘Just Once,’ which means you’d have to select Facebook Home each time you press your phone’s Home button.

3. Log into your Facebook account as prompted by the screen.

And that’s it; now you can enjoy Facebook on your phone in all its glory.
