Only this morning the internet was buzzing because Google employees were using its Project Glass to post pictures to Twitter. Just as the buzz started to simmer, Google posted the video below to YouTube. In fact, this the very first video posted to a Project Glass separate YouTube account which means they’re likely to roll out more how-to clips and sneak peaks at what the technology is actually capable of.

The video, which is just more than a minute long, gives a basic overview on how to use Glass. Essentially, the side frame of the high tech specs acts as the “touchpad” and projects an adjustable image on the lense in front one’s eyes. Simply tapping the touchpad wakes Glass up and sliding a finger across it scrolls images across the display. The video describes this as a “row of cards.” Images scrolled to the left are upcoming items or events, while scrolling to the right shows things of the past. Tapping the touchpad again on any screen prompts for a selection, like double-clicking a mouse.

The video neglects to mention anything related to a release date or price. However because pre-release versions have already been sent to developers to test worldwide, it seems that a release could come by the end of this year or possibly early-to-mid next year.

This morning Google employees were able to upload Glass photos to Twitter, which many in the Twittersphere initially doubted. But then a handful of Tweets from Google employees with the #throughglass appeared and validated the fact.
