Tonight is the season finale of American Idol where Kree Harrison and Candice Glover will vie for title and subsequent record deals awarded to the winner. The competition begins at 8pm ET but reporting will begin live from the red carpet starting at 6:30pm ET. You can live stream American Idol red carpet pre-show below.
The two vocalists went head-to-head last night during the performance show and tonight the winner will be announced during the results show. Harrison and Glover will perform three songs each, according to American Idol fan site Fandom.com. One will be a pick from the show’s creator, Simon Fuller. The second will be a personal favorite that each performed, respectively, earlier in the season. The third song will likely be an original single to be released by the winner, or possibly by the runner-up should she land a label deal.
Tonight’s show is a two-hour special so on top of the nail-biting final vote tally, there’s likely to be an abundance of celebrity of appearance and performances. Call me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen showed up last night and its rumored that tonight will feature pre-taped segments by judges Keith Urban and Mariah Carey.

Also rumored to hit the Idol stage is Jennifer Lopez to perform her new single Live It Up and YouTube sensation Psy of Gangnam Style fame who will perform one, or maybe both, of the songs that he’s for some reason famous for.
Other gossip sources indicate that Season 12 winner Philip Phillips,–who had that one single that played repeatedly during the Olympics to the annoyance of many–former Idol Adam Lambert, and 3rd place finalist Angie Miller who hails from nearby Beverly, Mass which recently hosted a parade in her honor.
