Since The One Fund launched shortly after the tragedies of this year’s Boston Marathon, T-shirts, promotions, and events have all pledged their profits to help those affected by the bombings, and over a month later, the phrase “proceeds to benefit the One Fund” has become embedded in Boston’s vocabulary. All of these fundraisers so far have just been leading up to the Boston Strong Concert, which starts at 7 p.m. tonight at the T.D. Garden. The monstrous event will feature an all-star cast of artists, and all net proceeds will, of course, benefit The One Fund.

Aerosmith, Dropkick Murphys, Jason Aldean, Boston, Jimmy Buffett, Extreme, J. Geils Band, New Kids on The Block, James Taylor, Godsmack, Carole King are all slated to perform, along with comedians Dane Cook and Steven Wright, plus a handful of special guests (keep your fingers crossed for Marky Mark). Tickets, which ran between $35 and $285, sold out within five minutes at the beginning of May. If you weren’t lucky enough to snag a pair, the complete concert will be streamed live tonight on here on BostInno (stay tuned for a link).

The concept for the concert collaboration originated with New Kids on The Block manager Jared Paul, who organized the event in under a week. A true Boston Strong concert wouldn’t have been complete without a raucous live rendition of “I’m Shipping Up To Boston,” and the Dropkick Murphys almost couldn’t make it due to a scheduling conflict – but, relax, they were added to the bill late after Ernie Boch, Jr. promised to send his private jet to fetch the band in Colorado and, you know, ship them up to Boston for the concert.

If you’re going tonight and want a preview of what’s to come, or if you can’t go and want to live vicariously through Spotify, tune in to the playlist below for a sampling of every artist scheduled for tonight.
