Yesterday, AMC released the teaser for the final season of the popular drug-pushing show Breaking Bad. The foreboding tagline “All Bad things must come to an end” is an eerily cryptic message for the series’ highly-anticipated final season, premiering August 11.

Here’s the Breaking Bad Teaser Poster.

For those living under a rock for the past eight years, Breaking Bad is the show starring Bryan Cranston as Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher to turns to cooking and selling meth with a former student after being diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in order to ensure the financial security of his family after he’s gone.

Breaking Bad has achieved the kind of critical success that cable television shows could only dream of. Cranston won three consecutive Primetime Emmys for best actor in his portrayal of White, and Aaron Paul garnered two wins for best supporting actor in his role as Jesse Pinkman, White’s former student. The show itself has garnered innumerable nominations for writing, directing, cinematography, and editing.

The August 11 premiere marks the second half of the final series, the first eight episodes debuting on July 15, 2012 and the second eight set for August.

Creator Vince Gilligan told USA Today about the final season, “There’s not much in the way of ambiguity with this ending. People won’t be left scratching their chins and saying, ‘I wonder what’s happening here.’ It doesn’t have to be happy or sad or anywhere in between. What mattered most to us was that the ending satisfy.”

Having never been personally drawn to the show (hold your tongues!) I can’t attest to how well its aged over the past eight years, but in comparison to other short-lived cable TV series, Breaking Bad has certainly withstood the test of time which shows its immense popularity and esteem.

Who hear is looking forward to seeing how the show ends and what kinds of predictions do you think will come into fruition?
