LeBron James sealed his legacy last night as one of the NBA’s all-time greatest players. Cue the cringes from Celtics fans. In a game 7 thriller, LeBron and his Miami Heat vanquished the stoic San Antonio Spurs 95-88 in a game that came down to the final seconds, capturing their second NBA championship in as many years. Check out some NBA finals and series highlights below.

LeBron had 12 rebounds to go along with his 37 points which are tied for most in a game 7 final with our own Tommy Heinsohn. He was a man on a mission, facing the brink of not only elimination but the chance that naysayers would call his single championship a fluke. No fluke here as LeBron, Dwayne Wade (23 points, 10 rebounds), and Miami became the first team to win back-to-back championships since the ’09 L.A. Lakers. LeBron, also joins the upper echelon of basketball–Bill Russell and Michael Jordan–as being one of three players to win back-to-back regular season MVPs to accompany his championships.

San Antonio hung with Miami until the final minutes of the fourth quarter where Tim Duncan missed an easy hook with a bow on it to tie the game and couldn’t put the rebound back in. He had 24 points, 12 boards, and 4 steals but it wasn’t enough. LeBron managed to get ahold of the rock in transition and bury an easy two just in front of the three point arc to put the final nail in the coffin that is the Spurs’ season and solidify one of the most clutch shots of his career.

Kawhi Leonard had 19 points and 16 rebounds for the team from Texas while 6th man Manu Ginobili put up 18 points and dished out 5 assists. Point guard Tony Parker was relatively silent in game 7, recording only 10 points and handing out 4 assists.

Notorious flopper Chris Bosh has zero points.
