Love her or hate her, you can’t argue with the star power democratic candidate for Governor of Massachusetts Martha Coakley has in her corner. On Friday, she’ll add another name to her growing list of big-name endorsers when former first lady, New York Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton comes to Boston.

In October alone, Coakley, the current Attorney General, has secured visits in Massachusetts from both current first lady Michelle Obama and former president Bill Clinton. Hillary, a leftwing political favorite in her own right aiming to become the nation’s first female president, is likely to add even more clout to Coakley’s bid.

“I am thrilled to welcome Hillary to Massachusetts in support of my campaign,” said Coakley in a statement. “Hillary Clinton is a role model for women around the world, and I look forward to joining her and thousands of our grassroots supporters to discuss how we can move Massachusetts forward for everyone.”

The campaign event is scheduled to take place at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Doors are slated to open at 10:30 a.m., and it’s open to the public; however, if you didn’t secure tickets in advance and pick them up at Coakley’s campaign offices, you’re unlikely to gain entry. If you’d like to attend, assuming there’s still space available, you can RSVP here: press@marthacoakley.com

Once you do that, you can pick up your ticket from these locations:

  • Boston (Office of 32BJ, 26 West Street, Boston)
  • Worcester Campaign office (256 Park Ave, Worcester)
  • Somerville HQ (5 Middlesex Ave, Somerville)
  • Springfield Campaign office (137 State Street, Springfield)

Both visits by Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton also coincided with fundraising initiatives by the Coakley camp. Hillary’s stopover is likely do be the centerpiece of a similar effort.

Hillary Clinton graduated from nearby Wellesley College in 1969.
