Uniqlo continues its Boston takeover today, when a brand new store opens in a nearby suburb.

Legacy Place in Dedham, Mass. will welcome a Uniqlo, opening at 10 a.m. Friday. Uniqlo USA CEO Larry Meyer will be there to help introduce the store to the mall. So far this year, Uniqlo has opened locations in the Natick Mall, Northshore Mall and the Mall at Chestnut Hill, as well as a pop up location in Faneuil Hall. More stores are planned for the Boston area throughout 2015, as well, including a permanent location in Faneuil, and a Newbury Street store.

At the Legacy Place Uniqlo, the first 200 customers through the door over the weekend will receive a free tote bag, and those who spend $50 in the store will be rewarded with a free HEATTECH item.

As the Japanese chain boosts its presence in the Boston area today, it’s also increasing its mobile presence. Uniqlo is launching UTme, a mobile app that allows users to design their own T-shirts. The app is free to download for Android and iPhone for Japanese customers, and all users have to do is find some inspiration, draw up their dream T-shirt, and take a picture of the design. Then, shake your phone (for an added magical effect), and your design will appear on a T-shirt.

Uniqlo even put together an introductory how-to video, which we at the BostInno office though came off more like a Uniqlo Gangnam Style, but whatever helps get the message across:

Since the app is only available in Japan, US customers can design T-shirts in store at select locations, with the Faneuil Hall pop up being one of them. There are limited edition Halloween logos available for the T-shirts this week as well.
