Artists for Humanity is quickly growing into one of Boston’s top social enterprises. Hot on the heels of AFH’s massive $30 million expansion announcement comes word that they’ll be hosting their annual Art and Soul holiday market on Tuesday, December 9.

AFH marketing director Rich Frank told BostInno that Art and Soul is a rebranding of its former Greatest Gifts on Earth event, which has been going on for the past three or four years.

“This year, we wanted to rebrand and communicate the connection we feel with our friends, partners, families, and the community,” said Frank. “It’s what inspires our art.”

If you’re still in the market for the perfect holiday gift for that certain someone, look no further than AFH. From 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, people are invited to check out Art and Soul at which paintings, photography, graphic designs, videos, sculptures, 3D designs and screen printings will be available for purchase, to name just a few of the goodies.

Even better is that the proceeds will go towards employing the approximately 250 teens who come from strapped and under-resourced homes in summer and after-school positions.

“AFH created over 600 jobs in 2014 for an impressive array of local and national business and civic clients,” added Frank. “At Art and Soul, guests can meet the artists and designers, enjoy the amazing AFH Epicenter, and have tasty holiday treats. And there’s a photobooth with funky holiday props. Great for that slightly off-beat family holiday card.”

AFH recently installed a 3D mural along the side of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Boston’s South End that reflects the industriousness of its young artists, as well as their creativity.

Currently. they’re working on a 12-foot metal sculpture to be installed in the new Baxter Park along the Mystic River in Somerville, just a stone’s throw from the freshly minted Assembly Row neighborhood.

Frank also presided as one of the judges for Boston’s massive Thursday night 50 on Fire event for the Arts & Entertainment category. If you’re attending tonight’s festivities, be sure to keep a lookout for Frank and all of the nominees. If you want to join in on the fun, you can purchase a ticket below.
