Dave Wedge, Mayor Walsh and Casey Sherman

We already know that a film adaptation is being made from ‘Boston Strong,’ the book written by Dave Wedge and Casey Sherman about the 2013 Boston Marathon. Now, that book is for sale.

The book, titled ‘Boston Strong: A City’s Triumph Over Tragedy’ was released last week, and celebrated on Thursday, January 22 at Empire. The release party at Empire saw over 300 guests, including marathon survivors Heather Abbott and Michelle L’Heureaux, MIT officer Sean Collier’s family and Hollywood producer Dorothy Aufiero.

The story follows different accounts from the Boston Marathon bombings, including background on the Tsarnaev brothers and the experiences of those who were affected by the tragedy – survivors, victims’ families, detectives and police officers. Mayor Marty Walsh contributed to the book, and Sherman and Wedge were both there when the bombs went off.

‘Boston Strong’ can currently be purchased on Amazon for $15. The movie of the same name is in the works after the rights were acquired by Fox in 2014. Screenwriters Eric Johnson and Paul Tamasy (‘The Fighter’) have signed on.
