Raise your hand if you feel like you’re in a brunch slump. It’s okay – we’ve (probably) been there. That moment when you realize you’ve already eaten at all of the best brunch spots in the city. So what’s next? Fortunately for those stuck in a rut, there’s a new brunch in town. And it’s being served at Beat Hôtel.

This weekend, everyone’s favorite Harvard Square American brasserie debuted its live jazz brunch, which means you now have a new brunch spot to explore. The colorful and eclectic restaurant will be serving brunch every Saturday and Sunday from here on out – and just like their dinner selection, the brunch fare won’t disappoint.

It’s Tipsy Time — Here are the Brunch Buzz Deets

When

Wake up early or sleep in late because Beat Hôtels brunch begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until 3:00 p.m. Live jazz music will be played from from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Where

Right off the Harvard Square T stop, this tucked away brasserie is located at 13 Brattle Street, Cambridge.

What to Eat

The brunch spot serves up traditional brunch items like quiche and eggs benedict. Or sweeter brunch fare like their french toast with whipped cream and apple & pear compote (yum!). But I recommend trying their unique take on Mexican Tofu Scramble with black beans, salsa, avocado and tortilla. While it’s certainly the best brunch option for vegetarians, it’s also just really tasty.

The Brunch Buzz Drink

In case you’ve missed the memo, Beat Hôtel is already well-known for their long list of delicious and unique cocktails. I recommend sticking to the bubbly as you chow down on whatever healthy (or unhealthy) brunch fare you decide on.

Try Beat Hôtel’s “Macintosh,” a brunch buzz drink with clear creek apple brandy, apple cider, burlesque bitters and of course some champagne. After all, a little bubbly goes a long way – especially at Beat Hôtel.
