We’re constantly turning our attention to the latest It bag, but lately our favorite high-profile fashion houses have been investing in their signature bags – the ones that endure for generations. With its timeless details and sleek leather, the new Fiamma bag from Salvatore Ferragamo is poised to do just that.

Fiamma Ferragamo was the eldest daughter of the revered Italian designer. She expanded the house in the 1990s and even created the first Ferragamo handbag collection. Pulling inspiration from one of her original designs, the Fiamma features a top handle and signature locked flap on a sleek leather satchel silhouette.

The launch of this lust-worthy bag is accompanied by short films featuring famously fashionable mother-daughter pairs. One of the duos, Mariel and Langley Fox Hemingway, discuss their own free-spirted family legacy. Other A-list subjects include Italian royals and Hollywood personalities, each sharing a family bond passed down through generations – something Fiamma Ferragamo would be proud of.

Watch the short films here. Then, check out the Fiamma in our Salvatore Ferragamo Boutique, which opens Saturday, October 11, at 11AM ET.
