Admittedly, I can’t get enough food reality TV shows. Whether it’s the Food Network or Bravo’s Top Chef competition, these shows – filled with mouthwatering food images – are completing addicting. And for those of us who weren’t able to score a highly coveted role as a diner on Top Chef Boston, there’s another reality show opportunity awaiting you.

The Taste, an ABC cooking competition show, is currently looking for foodies, home cooks and even professional chefs “from all walks of life to compete for a grand prize of $100,000,” according to an official source.

If you’re still on the fence about auditioning, keep in mind that this ABC show is hosted by celebrity judges and mentors, Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Marcus Samuelsson and Ludo Levebre. The Taste, which is now in its 3rd season, will be holding open casting calls nationwide for chefs interested in participating in the culinary competition – and in winning a substantial amount of money.

The open casting call in Boston will take place this Saturday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Workbar in Cambridge’s Central Square neighborhood. For more information on the show, check the website and watch a clip from last season, below.
