The second week of March continued to follow up on the first week with a ton of new executive hires and board appointments at some of Boston’s most followed tech and digital companies. Here is a quick roundup that will catch you up to speed on some of the most buzzed about talent moves:

AisleBuyer

AisleBuyer, the Boston startup cornering the mobile commerce and self-checkout market, added three new vice presidents to its team. Tapan Bhatt has come on as VP of Sales Engineering and Mark Budreski and Jeremy Laughlin have each joined as VP Sales.

From the release: “Bhatt was most recently sales engineering director at Motricity, and Amobee Media Systems prior to that. He also spent several years at Sprint as a technology director, consulting in product management and development, where he developed and launched new products including targeted mobile couponing and mobile advertising. Budreski joins AisleBuyer as vice president of sales from MarketSight LLC, where he was a director responsible for North American enterprise sales. During his tenure at MarketSight, Budreski grew sales by 300% and managed the company’s first reseller channel. Laughlin brings more than 10 years of retail industry experience to his role as vice president of sales. Most recently, he was responsible for the design, implementation and management of a $1.5 million self-checkout pilot with a Fortune 100 retailer while a strategic account manager for NCR Corporation. Laughlin also spent time at Best Buy and Staples.”

Blue Cod Technologies

Blue Cod Technologies, the leading provider of technology-enabled services for the property and casualty insurance industry, appointed Simon de Montfort Walker as Chief Outsourcing Officer and EVP of Operations.

From the release: “Walker has led Blue Cod’s outsourcing and technology teams as vice president of operations since 2009. … Prior to joining Blue Cod, Walker served as general manager at Octavian, a SaaS solutions firm. Previously, he led Unicorn Solutions as CEO, focusing on company strategy, sales effectiveness and operational excellence. Walker successfully negotiated the sale of Unicorn to IBM. Prior to Unicorn, Walker served as a director of business consulting at Sapient Corporation. Walker is a frequent speaker and editorial contributor on key insurance industry trends.”

EnerNOC

EnerNOC, a leading provider of energy management applications for the smart grid, announced a Hugh Scandrett as the new VP Engineering.

From the release: “Mr. Scandrett most recently served as Vice President of Engineering for Kronos Inc., a Massachusetts-based workforce management solutions firm, where he led a global application development team of 425 engineers based in three countries. Lionbridge

Lionbridge Technologies, the leading provider of translation, development and testing SaaS solutions, made three new executive hires last week. Marc Osofsky has joined as SVP of Marketing, Doug Fallon has joined as VP & GM of Lionbridge’s Global Development and Testing business and Joseph Fiorentino has joined as VP Enterprise Product Sales for Lionbridge’s Global Software Products division.

Matter Communications, a full-service public relations agency specializing in high tech and consumer markets, announced expansion of its management team last week including two new Account Directors, Anne Lines and Tobi Young.

PAN Communications, one of the nation’s leading innovative public relations and digital media agencies specializing in the tech, consumer engagement, healthcare, and professional services sectors, announced a new executive hire last week. Lauren Iacono, an Emmy-Award winning producer at ESPN, joins the communications firm as Director of Digital Strategy.

Joe Mullaney re-joins as CEO and as a Director, Bob Anthonyson (founder of AVID)  joins as VP of Business Development and Director, Phil Cooper (former Vice Chairman of Charles River Associates and member of Boston Harbor Angels and The Capital Network) joins as a Director will Chair the Audit and Compensation Committees, and Hank Nelson (former founder and principal of Monadnock Advisors) joins as a Director.

WaveMark, a global leader in RFID-enabled business intelligence tools for the healthcare industry, announced that founder Patrick Littlefield left after 8 years, and Sabina Chadha joined as EVP Sales and Marketing.

Yankee Group, a leading tech market research firm, announced Gigi Wang joined the firm in the Chief Resource Officer role.
