The American Fresh Brewhouse Team

Get excited, Boston! The much-anticipated American Fresh Brewhouse opens its doors tomorrow, November 19. Somerville Brewing, the makers of Slumbrew beers, are behind the new outdoor beer garden experience at SomBlox, a collection of shipping containers that have been converted into retail and food prep spaces surrounding the open beer garden area in Assembly Row.

According to a previous release, the American Fresh Taproom will “pair Slumbrew beers with fresh local food, sandwiches and charcuterie plates in a casual beer garden environment.” Food suppliers will rotate on a regular basis and include Fiore Di Nonno and Great Hill Creamery cheese, Olli and Creminelli Meats, When Pigs Fly Breads, Taza Chocolate, Grillo’s Pickles, soups and sandwiches.

Co-founder Caitlin Jewell also noted that American Fresh would host plenty of art experiences from the local Somerville community. “Our business has been growing rapidly over the past three years,” she notes in a release. “We’re so excited about creating a place where people can get a Slumbrew in the fresh air and check out the new Assembly Row neighborhood.”

The co-founder also tells BostInno that the beer garden will be under a heated tent to keep folks “warm and cozy.” The doors open at 4 p.m. tomorrow. During the first week of its opening the brewhouse will be open Wednesday from 4 to 10 p.m, Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. After that, the beer garden will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

If you go, American Fresh is located at 301 Canal Street in Somerville.
