Apple iPad Insanity on Boylston!

The launch of the iPad in Boston drew huge crowds at the Apple Store on Boylston Street today as those who had pre-ordered Apple’s new tablet queued since the early hours to buy the latest piece of technology by the popular brand. Despite the media being divided on whether or not the iPad will be the future of media consumption, there was considerable excitement when the doors opened at 9:00am and the first customers were let in.

With predicted sales of 5 million units this year alone, it will be very interesting to see how the competition reacts to this latest addition to the Apple armoury and whether the iPad can fully live up to the hype that has surrounded it since it was unveiled by Steve Jobs in January.

BostInnovation writer/photographer David Bolton took his place amongst the faithful at around 8:30, finally getting the chance to try the tablet out at 10:30am.
