From steakhouses to homemade pastas, Strega restaurants have certainly taken the Boston restaurant landscape by storm. Restaurateur Nick Varano has succeeded in building a Boston restaurant empire with loyal customers and consistent food. So it should serve as no surprise that The Varano Group has managed to add another spot to their list.

Boston Restaurant Talk is reporting that Caffe Strega has opened in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. The article cited a Cassidy Turley release, which states that the new restaurant “will include breakfast items, including bagels, muffins and coffee, as well as hand-crafted sandwiches and fresh salads for lunch.”

The release also describes the cafe as “an ideal spot for tenants to pick up their breakfast or lunch on-the-go, or sit at one of the café tables.” It’s certainly different from the other eateries under The Varano Group umbrella.

The Varano Group includes Strega North End, Nico in the North End, Strega Waterfront in the Seaport District, Strega Prime in Woburn, and Strip by Strega, an upcoming steakhouse opening in the Back Bay. The restaurants all manage to cater to different demos and tastes – attracting quite the variety of customers.

We have a feeling that Caffe Strega will attract both Back Bay residents and professionals – adding yet another place to get your caffeine fix.

This Strega Cafe is located in the lobby of 177 Huntington Avenue.
