Get excited Boston! James Beard Award winning Chef Daniel Boulud will open his highly anticipated Bar Boulud restaurant on September 16, according to a release. The restaurant is opening in the Mandarin Oriental and will be following in the footsteps of the already successful Bar Boulud in New York and in London.

According to the release, the French bistro will serve up New England inspired dishes, signature charcuterie and an “impressive wine cellar showcasing Burgundy and the Rhône Valley, well-suited for leisurely dining, business meetings or special occasions.”

The interior will include a 68-seat main dining room with leather booths as well as a 22-seat private dining room and a 17-seat zinc top bar. The restaurant will also include a “seven-seat marble-clad charcuterie counter and a distinctive glass enclosed wine cellar,” notes the release.

The dining program will be led by Chef de Cuisine, Aaron Chambers, with a menu that includes items such as Pâté Grand Mčre (chicken liver, pork, cognac), Pâté Grand-Pčre (foie gras, pork and truffle), signature sausages like Boudin Blanc (white pork sausage with truffled mashed potatoes and apple) and Boudin Noir (blood sausage with mashed potatoes, apple and caramelized onions). The menu will also include a great selection of grilled beef burgers.

In addition to wine, diners can also expect a “seasonal selection curated craft beers and innovative hand-crafted cocktails,” notes the release. The innovative cocktail list will also include several “Boulud Classic Cocktails,” which are found in his other restaurants as well.
