For many of us, cooking just doesn’t come naturally. So rather than run the risk of burning down the house or burning our dinner, we’d rather pick up sushi take-out most nights of the week. But while it’s okay to be lazy (sometimes) – it’s simply not okay to eat terrible food on a regular basis. Or to burn your house down, for that matter.

Enter – cooking classes.

Fortunately for you, the BCAE (Boston Center for Adult Education) cooking classes aren’t taught by just anyone. They’re taught by Boston’s own celebrity chefs.

The center will be offering their celebrity chef cooking classes once again, starting this May and lasting through June 2014. Each chef will teach a one session interactive cooking class, where students will create some of their favorite dishes from local eateries.

Chefs and classes will include:

“Pretty Little Petit-Fours” with Lauren Kroesser of Eastern Standard

“Taste of India” with Andy Pokhrel & Rokeya Chowdhury of Shanti

“Fin to Tail: Focus on Fish” with Brendan Pelley of Zebra’s Bistro and Wine Bar

“Behind the Line” with Dan Schroeder of Forum

“Savory & Sweet” with Mary Dumont & Brian Mercury of Harvest

“Inventive Eats” with Kyle Stamps of Coda

Whether you’re looking to improve your cooking skills or just hang out with your favorite chefs, these classes are certainly a win/win for participants. Seats will go fast, so reserve your space today on the BCAE’s website.
