Massachusetts Brewery’s had an excellent showing at the 2011 United States Open Beer Championship held in Atlanta Georgia. This competition is the only one of its kind because it includes both professional breweries and amateur brewers from around the world. Congratulations to Deschutes Brewery from Oregon for taking home the cup after being awarded three gold and five silver medals.

The Boston Beer Company, better known as Samuel Adams finished in fourth place overall, winning three gold’s and a bronze; which is very respectable considering beer companies from all over the world competed.

The Wachusett Brewing Company took home gold for its Green Monsta lager and a silver in the Rye/Roggen Category. If your part of Redsox Nation and haven’t tried this lager yet, go to the nearest packie and grab a rack now!

The Harpoon Brewery’s also did well picking up a gold for its Rich & Dan’s Rye IPA.

Congrats to the Beantown favorites!

Deschutes Brewery you guys need to send some bottles east because we are ready for the goodness…..
