Boston Restaurant Talk reported this week (via a Twitter post from @NorthEndBoston) that Peet’s Coffee could be moving into the Goody Glover’s space at the base of Salem Street in the North End.

Goody Glover’s confirmed today, October 10 that after 11 years in the North End, they are closing at the end of the month.

The closing of Goody Glover’s is truly the end of an era – and further evidence that the face of the North End is indeed changing. If the California-based Peet’s Coffee chain does move into the area, they’ll certainly have plenty of competition. The North End already has a Boston Common Coffee Co., Starbucks, Bread & Butter and other local coffee shops in the area.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this possible Peet’s expansion into Boston’s Little Italy neighborhood.
