The “Blizzard of 2015” (a.k.a. Winter Storm Juno) is currently in the process of dumping 20 to 30 inches of snow on top of Boston. All of Massachusetts is under a state of emergency and, thanks to the travel ban also imposed by Governor Charlie Baker on Monday, the majority of our local readership is snowed in.

If readers prefer to watch the snow fall, rather than brave the elements, they can do so here. The adventurous types, meanwhile, may prefer do get their sledding on.

So, below, we’ve included seven of the best places to sled in the Boston area; readers can choose to hunker down and wait for the travel ban to lift, or they can be wild and head to one of these spots now for the freshest of fresh pow. (The latter is only suggested if one is within walking distance.)

1. Brainerd Road, Allston

Note: Brainerd Rd. is, in fact, a tremendous place to sled, though, only when there is absolutely no chance any cars will be on the street – in motion.

2. Flagstaff Hill, Boston Common, 148 Tremont Street

A timeless tradition – like The Masters.

3. Peters Hill, Arnold Arboretum, intersection of Walter Street & Bussey Street, Roslindale

And if you’re a flowers person, the Arnold Arboretum is quite nice in the springtime.

4. Larz Anderson Park, 23 Newton Street, Brookline

Guy shreds hard.

5. Tufts University, President’s Lawn, 55 Professors Row, Medford

It’s OK. This is an actual thing; you’re not breaking any rules if you do this.

6. Corey Hill, Brookline

Clearly worthy of media attention, seeing as Wicked Local Brookline decided to make a film about it.

7. The Sugar Bowl, Jamaica Pond, Jamaicaway & Perkins Street, JP

Not where Alabama and Ohio State recently played.
